To promote the contract launch between Cobham and Chevron Australia, following their six-year A$170 million agreement for aviation services between Barrow Island, Thevenard Island, Perth and Karratha, in support of Chevron Australia’s operations. The deal represented the largest aviation contract within the Australian resources sector at the time.
Cannings Purple developed a launch event to mark the introduction of the two new RJ100 aircraft needed to fulfil the contract. The event strategy involved the development of key messages which were conveyed through the event and surrounding communication activities.
Cannings Purple held a successful event for Cobham, which included the attendance of WA Transport Minister, Simon O’Brien. The event received strong media coverage by both resources and business media, reinforcing the significance of the contract.
