As Content Editor, Simon works across all areas of the business to create and distribute engaging content on a variety of platforms, including Cannings Purple's corporate site, its news hub (the268.com.au) and its social media offerings.

Using his experience as a digital editor in major metropolitan newsrooms and with an eye for vibrant and quality content, Simon identifies and produces a wide range of material - from news and opinion, to video and longer-form pieces - that is tailored to fit the needs of clients and audiences alike. His role also focuses on finding new audiences and platforms for Cannings Purple's content.

As a former editor of both thewest.com.au and WAtoday and having served his cadetship at the Kalgoorlie Miner, Simon is the only journo he knows who has covered both the time-honoured Melbourne and Norseman Cups. In his spare time, Simon enjoys watching good golf, playing bad golf and hoping the Dockers have turned the corner (again). He figures he joined the right-coloured agency.
